Meet Laurie Pederson, CFAA

Join host Dǟnna Wilberg beginning April 30, 2015 at 9:30pm, PDT for a very special interview with Laurie Pederson! Laurie has been actively involved in the local film community for over 14 years.  Starting with an Access Sacamento PCS film in 2000, she has since produced over 20 film and video projects, ranging from short and feature length films, music videos and various web-based and promotional pieces. In 2004 - while working full-time, she co-founded the Capital Film Arts Alliance and also became a Co-Director for the Sacramento Film & Music Festival. In 2007 the CFAA was approved as a non-profit organization and the film festival expanded to a 10-day event.

In 2009 she quit her 20 year day job at the Sacramento Bee and became a project manager for Nehst Studios, led by Academy Award winning producer Larry Meistrich (Sling Blade, You Can Count On Me). Working remotely in Sacramento with his east-coast based company, she soon was named VP of distribution and marketing for this groundbreaking independent film company.

Winner of the Arts Volunteer of the Year and recipient of the Sac Film & Music Festival's Film Arts Service award, Laurie continues to support the creative community here while she runs the CFAA and oversee the film distribution side of Nehst - and she is now working with local company iLine Entertainment and Cinetoys to connect their exciting tech inventions with the world.
